SEA can provide reliability predictions that allows you to understand how parameters such as temperature, stress, part quality, packaging and environment come together to influence product reliability and how these can be modeled to understand how each effects system uptime.
To give you the best prediction of future performance we have enhanced the typical MIL HDBK 217/Telcordia SR332 methods for predicting reliability. The result is a more realistic view of the expected field reliability.
Using state of the art modeling techniques, SEA provides product engineers and managers with System Reliability Analysis that show how redundancies, switch over times, repair strategies, fault detection, reboot and recovery time can be modeled to understand how each component effects system outage probabilities.
We also provide our clients with a user interface to the model so they can explore sensitivities to reliability, configuration, redundancy and repair strategies. To make the user interface as intuitive as possible, we will try to visually match your hardware configuration.
Application of risk assessment analysis provides you with the knowledge of how your product fails and how failure affects the user. We have modified the typical MIL HDBK 217/Telcordia SR332 methods for predicting reliability to give you a more realistic view of the expected field reliability.
We use, to the greatest extent possible, manufacturers test data. We then translate the data to the temperature of interest using the appropriate activation energies from either MIL HDBK 217 or Telcordia's SR332.
The demand for quality components in the commercial sector has caused the component manufacturers to develop their own reliability programs. We use our knowledge of these programs to select the appropriate quality levels when performing a prediction.
